Continuing Education

The Alumnae of Northwestern has offered intellectually stimulating noncredit courses since 1968. These classes are open to the public at a modest cost. Outstanding faculty from nearly every Northwestern school and department offer insight into their disciplines through continuing education courses held on the Evanston campus. Each year, more than 2,000 people from Chicago and the metropolitan area attend classes coordinated and administered by the Alumnae.

Funds raised by this program support:

  • scholarships for undergraduate students
  • fellowships for graduate women
  • major grants and smaller gifts to University schools and departments

Twice in recent years, the program has received the Exceptional Achievement Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

Bus Service will no longer be offered.

Alumnae Continuing Education Parking and Busing have been cancelled due to a low level of interest in the busing option. We apologize for the inconvenience.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR IN-PERSON PER DIEMS TO CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES

Planning to attend as an In-person per diem?

Per diem students will be admitted for $30 per class session (cash or check only).  Norris is currently a NO CASH operation; however there is an ATM on the ground level of Norris Center for your convenience. Per diem students will not have access to lecture recordings. There are no online per diems.
