Karli Goldenberg, Graduate Fellow

Graduate Fellowship, 2020

Karli Goldenberg, from Skokie, Ill., graduated in 2019 with a double major in journalism and English literature. As an undergraduate, she regularly balanced five credit classes while heading North by Northwestern magazine. She participated in opportunities as diverse as reparations for collateral victims of femicide in Argentina to the lasting effects of trauma for survivors of the Parkland shooting. She was a student reporter in the Medill Global Program stationed for a time on the West Bank, reporting on Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In her spare time, she ran for the NU Track Club. She intends to deepen her journalism skills through a MS in Journalism by specializing in the Politics, Policy and Foreign Affairs program. She is inspired to listen and tell the stories for those who are underrepresented, especially religious and ethnic minorities as well as Spanish speakers.
