Mariya Nemesh, WCAS, from Brookfield, Ill., is studying neuroscience and communication. Her plans are to complete a 4-year program in physical therapy. Currently, she is doing an independent project in Dr. Eva Redei’s lab at the Feinberg School of Medicine. Her focus is on stress-induced decline in learning and memory. In high school she was awarded Research Scholar of the Year. At Northwestern, she has been named an Arch Scholar, and also serves as the vice president of events in the Northwestern Women’s Network organization.
