Mirabella Johnson
Graduate Fellowship Recipient, 2024
Mirabella Johnson completed her BA in cognitive science with an adjunct major in global health. She will begin her master’s in public health in June. She was accepted into the highly competitive APHP (Accelerated Public Health Program) her junior year. Mirabella appreciated the multidisciplinary nature of both cognitive science and global health during her undergraduate career where she excelled, making the Dean's List all undergraduate quarters and receiving the Mirabella co-founded and co-lead the group NU Students Demand Action for Gun Safety.
Mirabella continues to be a strong student with a diverse set of interests. She hopes to use her MPH to work in the areas of gun safety, violence prevention, and community-based health policy. One of her professors ranks her "among the top 2-3% undergraduate students that I have worked with over my career as a professor." He considers her a "tremendously bright and talented young scholar."
