Tasfia Azim, McC, from Arlington Heights, Ill., majoring in chemical engineering, wants to become a research pharmacist, hoping to be at the forefront in the development of new drugs. Tasfia is described as “naturally inquisitive, proactive, reflective, and collaborative.” She is currently working in a student-run synthetic biology lab on a team of eight students, which will represent Northwestern for the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition.
