Xitlalli Castaneda, STEM Scholar

STEM Scholarship Recipient, 2024

Xitlalli Castaneda, (McC) from Berwyn, Ill., is a member of the class of 2026. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in computer science. Xitlalli has always had an intense interest in outer space so decided to focus on mechanical engineering with a concentration on aerospace. The master’s degree in mechanical engineering will enable her to perfect prototypes to assist in overcoming the limitations of the human body. She also aims to help make the aerospace industry more sustainable.
